Gary Beckwith

Gary joined Jaggard Macland in 2025, bringing with him a wealth of experience from roles at The Howard de Walden Estate, Eton College, English Heritage and Durham University.
A graduate of Northumbria University and a Chartered Building Surveyor, Gary has a particular expertise in historic buildings, project management and defect analysis. His portfolio of work has ranged from Roman ruins and listed properties through to modern university campuses and contemporary construction. He is equally comfortable producing schedules of work, advising on planning and building regulation approvals, or managing technical compliance across complex sites.
For Gary, the variety of the role is one of its biggest appeals. Over his career he has handled everything from building pathology to design and managing projects from inception to completion, which he believes makes surveying both challenging and rewarding.
Outside of work, Gary enjoys football, running, socialising with friends and family and is looking forward to bringing his experience to support our growing residential and project management services.
